Favorite Scripture Party

Cindy, at
I Owe It All To Him
is having a favorite scripture party.

My very favorite scripture is Ps 139:17.18

"How precious to me are your thoughts o God,
How vast is the sum of them.
Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the sands of time.
When I awake I am still with you."

Can you imagine?
He thinks of you, and me, more than there are are grains of sand?
He thinks of us every minute of every day.
A mind boggling thought.

And a wonderful way to share God's love with others.
Next time you are playing a game and using one of those sand timers,
it is a perfect opportunity to share this verse.
My granddaughters were amazed by the thought of this verse.

Here is a little art piece I made up.

And I have made Ps 139 jars too.
More about those later.

And this is my favorite word:
Remember

Remember:
It's my reminder word that:
God loves me
He died for me
He is always with me
He provides for me
He is my healer,
my guide,
my strength.
And anything and everything I could ever want.

Thanks Cindy, for such a great party.

blessings to all

Oh wow, Barb,
This post is so unbelievable...I love it...and I love how you told your favorite word and what it means to you....You must have been reading my mind because 1 week ago Margaret said it would be neat to hear people's favorite words...and that's what I wanted to do as a Link party in 2 weeks....
I have 2 favorite words....My husband says I'm a wordsmith because I love words...so, it shows you are so in tune and picked up on it all....do you see the circle here? We're all getting this from each other...thoughts, prayers, hopes, feelings..all coming together for a higher purpose...

I love your post and your beautiful spirit and how it fills your life and the people who read your blog and come in contact with you every day....
Sending hugs and a thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sharing...
Hugs,
Cindy

Hi Barbara,
I've followed your blog for awhile, how great to see you linked up to this party. I love your jars, I collect old jars but don't seem to find ones suitable for this project. I would love to make myself one.
Blessings, Margaret

I especially like your "Remember" piece and explanation!

My favorite scripture is a phrase that occurs over and over in the Bible. "And it came to pass..." Whatever is here, good or bad, it didn't come to stay. It came to pass, and it will. That may sound odd, but it keeps my feet on the ground and my mind more or less stable!

To Ani,

Love what you shared about "it came to pass".
Never thought of it that way. Not staying, but only came to pass.
